Vehicle Story: The first vehicle I got to drive all by myself was a WWII MB. That was back in 1953. I wanted one! My brother was living in Montana in the early 80´s, he called one evening to tell me he found an "old jeep" in a field that I could buy for $600. I bought it sight unseen. Named it Jenifer after my goddaughter. Jenifer was a very sad little jeep when she made it to our place. Started at the right front frame member (which was badly bent) and worked around to the right front again, fixing whatever needed to be fixed as I went. Jenifer was too far gone to consider a true restoration, so she is "rebuilt to look right," but not stock. She is my official "photography and go to the gun range" ride. I have about $5,000 invested in her so far, so I guess that´s her "Current Value" but she is not for sale at any price! Key to photos: #1. Most of the back country is closed to off-road driving - Santa Barbara is a hot bed of environmental activists, but Jenifer and I still have pleny of fun crusing the dirt roads looking for interesting things to photograph.
