Vehicle Story: I purchased this Jeep from a retired WW II Colonel. It had been used by the U.S. Army and was later sold to the City of Columbus, OH where she saw time as a insect fogger. To date I have stripped her to the frame, sandblasted and POR 15 was applied. The springs were replaced w/ a Rancho 2.5" set w/ Rancho shocks. The original 9" brakes have been replaced w/ 11"ers as well as all new lines. The motor was remanufactored at Trails West 4x4 shop in Reynoldsburg, OH. I´m currently installing a manual Saginaw Steering box and an 8000 pound Warn winch sits waiting to rest up front. I have also purchased a new steel body tub to be installed when the mechanical side is completed. The Jeep will be my son´s first driving experience but will primarily be used as an RV for off-road fun and country road exploring.
