Vehicle Story: I horse traded for this from the second owner in November of 2000. It was still doing light duty, snow plowing and hauling leaves, on his small farm. (His dad was the first owner, but it stayed in the family since 1946) It hadn´t been on the open road since about 1960, but he took good care of it and kept it garaged. I bought a brand new plow set-up for his John Deere Tractor and traded it for the CJ. She runs great, nothing but a few slight surface rust spots, and I got her on the road and lic. in June of 2003. I got new NDT tires, had the rims sandblasted and painted Autumn Yellow, and a chamber problem was fixed. I figured since I put new tires on I might as well paint the wheels so I won´t have to de-mount them later. In no time, I was jeep´in! I always wanted a military jeep, but then I fell in love with my ´45 CJ! I can´t ever imagine parting with her! I´ll eventually do a full restoration on her, but for now I´ll take her to shows in her original condition. I put about 300 miles on her during the summer and fall, and never thought I´d have so much fun driving my jeep around. It´s been a blast! At my first car show there was a few antiques, but lots of ´60´s muscle cars and hot rods. "Woody" was a big hit because it was the only vehicle there that the owner would actually let the kids sit in! they loved it!
