Vehicle Description: The 1st picture shows the Willys sitting in front of the remodel I was doing. The remodel is done! This was a frame off rebuild. The previous owners of this wagon had discarded the stock drive train long ago & installed a straight axle from a Ford truck. The wagon now has a stage 3 Mustang II IFS and a 9" Ford rear. Both axles have 11" disk brakes and an under floor power master cylinder to adequate stopping power. The PO also had hacked up the firewall to install a small block Chevy engine. I removed the engine, fixed the firewall & installed a new 425 HP stroker with aluminum heads, polished high rise manifold, 4 barrel carb. 700R4 trans Vintage Air heat & AC along with power steering are among the other modifications for this daily driver. Now I am doing the body repairs/mods. I´m 1/2 way done with the tailgate. Many more "interesting" things to come. Note the Jeepster horn button gas cap, the modified Lokar aluminum gear shift. The Mustang "Bullit" wheels are my winter wheels. I´m sure it will be at least 2 years before it´s ready for paint., but I do a little body work & drive it a bunch & do a little more work & drive it some more!

Vehicle Story: I bought the wagon from aguy in Pahrumph Nevada (close to Las Vegas)It was kinda scary to drive & the closer I looked, the more scared I became. The mechanical portion of this project are done I have also installed an 18 circuit Painless wiring kit.I doubt that it will ever look "stock" from the outside, but my hope is to retain the overall charm that we Willy wagon addicts love, with a few tasteful upgrades that will peak the interest of the hotrod enthusiasts and hopefuly not draw any lightening bolts when this wagon is driven in the rain!
