Vehicle Story: I Bought this as a driver while I worked on the wife´s 51 wagon. It was towed home from Clovis New Mexico, tagged , inspected and then parked. The motor had a miss that turned out to be a flat exhaust lob on the cam and the engine was too carbonized to just replace cam. Engine was sent to a machine shop for reworking. When I sent the engine to the machine shop I thought it was a 4.3 liter V6 as advertized. The shop owner informed me I had a Chevy 229 CI engine not a 4.3. Had the transmission looked at and serviced. Had a new drive shaft built as the old one was too long. New front tires, electric wiper system with intermittant setting, wiring harness and ring and pinion were purchased and installed. I have purchased two doors and hood to replace the original bent originals with many holes. It now runs and moves and stops on its own, but does not idle properly - too fast. I have yet to resolve this issue - I am a slow worker. The drivers door sags and drags badly. I will replace the hinges and both doors soon. Thanks to WT members for your knowledge, advice, and parts.
