Vehicle Description: 1946 matching body and frame tags serial #16236, engine #16582. Axe & shovel indents, 6V, starts and runs great. Shifter is on the floor,seats and spare tire mounting are not original. Floor is rusted through in several spots but body and frame good overall. I have sandblasted and primed the frame and body components which had 4 different layers of paint. This has allowed me to accurately evaluate the extent of rust damage. I have also overhauled/repaired and painted many components olive drab.

Vehicle Story: I drove down to Montana to pick up this Jeep (May 30/2006) because I had been looking for a good, restorable mid-late 1940´s CJ-2A and couldn´t find one closer that was in decent shape for restoring. I have began disassembly and have it down to the bare frame. After 2 moves with Willys parts I am working on it with my son, David (now 10 yrs. old) when life allows it!
